1. Purpose
Fosteo enables creators to accept direct support from their audience. This policy defines what is and is not allowed on the platform. Using Fosteo means you agree to follow it. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of your account by Fosteo or Stripe.
2. Prohibited content
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Adult or sexually explicit content, including pornography, explicit imagery, or any content designed for sexual gratification.
- Illegal activity, or content that promotes or facilitates it.
- Fraud, deceptive practices, or attempts to mislead supporters.
- Hateful, harassing, or abusive content targeting any individual or group.
- Money laundering, peer-to-peer money transmission, or use of Fosteo as a remittance service.
- Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Gambling, lotteries, or games of chance with monetary prizes.
- Sale of illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, or other restricted items.
3. Creator obligations
- You must be 18 or older (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- You must provide accurate identity and payout information through Stripe.
- You are responsible for your content and your compliance with all applicable laws.
- You may not use Fosteo to fundraise for charitable purposes or as a crowdfunding campaign for a third party.
4. Payments, refunds, and chargebacks
Payments are support for a creator's work and are non-refundable. Fosteo does not offer refunds. If a supporter disputes a payment, Stripe handles the dispute.
Fosteo covers chargeback liability on behalf of creators. If a creator receives multiple chargebacks or refunds, Fosteo may deduct their value from the creator's balance or future payouts. Excessive or repeated chargebacks or refunds will result in account restriction or termination.
5. Enforcement
Fosteo may review content, restrict payouts, or suspend and terminate accounts that violate this policy. Stripe also independently monitors transactions and creators for compliance with its own terms, which may result in action by Stripe.
